CMT, the Configuration Management Tool, is a software package for
managing software packages. CMT provides an integrated tool for
building, installing, configuring, and managing large software
projects. CMT has been chosen as the software package management
tool for the ATLAS experiment at CERN.
Christian Arnault of LAL in Orsay is the principle author of CMT.
At the end of the ATLAS sofware week in December 2001 he delivered
three lectures that make up this tutorial introduction to CMT.
